Young Leaders Alumni Network (YREAI)

The young alumni network (YREAI) was created in the spring of 2008 by three Harvard alumni, Adam Barzilay (MDesS 08’), DJ Van Keuren (ALM 08’) and Bendita Malakia (JD 08’) with the intention of bringing together recent alumni (within seven years of graduation), who are working in or are strongly interested in real estate. YREAI is a volunteer-run organization affiliated with REAI for Harvard University alumni who might be able to fully benefit from the resources that REAI and the Harvard real estate community have to offer.

Our goal is to provide recent graduates with the opportunity to form valuable relationships and learn from peers in the real estate industry across interdisciplinary lines through our Mission and Committees.

YREAI's Mission

  • To establish a network of young Harvard alumni active in real estate and related fields;
  • To participate in programming and meetings during the annual REAI Alumni Real Estate Conference;
  • To facilitate programming directed at young real estate professionals at the REAI’s meetings;
  • To work with HREC to facilitate an Alumni Spring Retreat, at HREC's election;
  • To provide a forum for discussion and learning;
  • To assist in the mentoring of current Harvard University students through the REAI mentoring program and/or HREC, at HREC's election.
